Gotta love the pun.
Mrs. Money Bags isn't here at the time of this posting so the only thing I could find for scale was a nickel, so I guess that is the only nickel to my name.... ;-)
I couldn't resist, I had to start doing something model wise or I would have gone nuts.
So this is my first scratch built house, I have the dimensions mostly
right, I do not have any plans so I am winging it for now.
I am going to do up some plans and print them out but this morning I just had to jump in and start.
normally the windows and doors are cut out before you put it together
but this bass wood is already so fragile (not as bad as balsa) that I
think it will hold up better to cut them out after it is built, either
with an hobby knife or a rotary tool, I will experiment and find the
best way.
With all the sanding I did I so need a mini belt/disk sander.
Oh and a laser cutting printer would be nice too. hint, hint Mrs. Clause.... ;-)
Let me know what you think so far...
Nice work Rob. I am excited to see the progress you have made and I think winging it on the buildings is not a bad thing. Plans are for pansies. :-)
